"Hotel Kavallaris was excellent. Great location near the airport. Staff was extremely accommodating and communicative, providing clear instructions on checking in/out outside of regular hours. They even provided transfer to and from the airport with a great driver, and gave us a clear rundown on places and activities to do on the island. Would definitely recommend this place for an affordable first-time experience!"

"The view was spectacular. It was very convenient and welcoming to have breakfast brought to our deck every morning. The manager/concierge Georgia was very helpful finding restaurants, interesting places and arranging for things for us to do. For example, we went on a lovely sunset catamaran cruise . She made our stay extra special."

"What a charming hotel! We were looking for somewhere to stay proximate to the airport, and easy to travel to/from - and the Onyx was great. From check-in to check-out, Konstantina was a jewel! She not only gave us Upon check-in, Konstantina stepped away from the desk to take us to our room & introduce us to its features - after giving us a map with several recommendations, adding to the list her personal preferences. We so very much enjoyed her dinner recmmendation at Nektar Lounge overlooking the volcano caldera! What a GLORIOUS view - and the food was amazing, served by a very attentive team. Our room was super-clean, the sinks, counters, and fixtures shone - and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was HOT and relaxing! We were so looking forward to soaking in our private hot tub, and were disappointed that it didn’t work despite Konstantina trying to have it serviced. The delightful breakfast bar suited our a-typical American pallettes - with COFFEE, fruit, yogurt, and a very tasty walnut-spice bread on morning! There were eggs and other breads as well as juices - and the server kept the bar area stocked and ready for all comers. Parking seems to always be a problem in Greece, so we used the transportation Konstantina arranged for us, however our family was able to also drop us off and park - which was much appreciated. Although the Onyx is a small business, it was well worth staying in this off-the-beaten-path venue."

"Everything about this hotel was amazing!! If there was a 10 star review they would get a 20 no doubt about it. The people were amazing, the food was amazing, the drinks the best and the location on perfect for the beach, relaxing and night life. All the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Santorini. Also, they arrange transportation and offer help with anything you need."

"You have to be careful when you book this hotel, it is listed 5 star property, but actually it is not, there are plenty of properties around the area, higher standard and same or cheaper price, the rooms are old, the bathroom is old and 1st time I see head shower is from side wall not ceiling , the bed room (Maisonette) is upstairs, the stairs to go up is very risky , especially for people with health issues, the bed is very uncomfortable , the breakfast was very poor, I stayed in Athens and Mykonos prior to Santorini in similar level properties, there is no way of comparison. Not worth money."
