"It is difficult to maintain a property like this -- with lots of wood, plants etc but this place has done it very well. Rarely any mosquitoes, rooms and bathroom were clean, common area were clean and spacious. Shower pressure and heater were working fine which helps after a long day out in national parks. Drive in was a little daunting but after a while we got used to it. Food options in menu could be better but Kuching is a food paradise so we drove out to eat a lot."

"Permai is fantastic, we had a treehouse and enjoyed waking up to monkeys and bird song each morning. It is a perfect place to just relax and do nothing or book some tours from. The staff were all lovely and helpful, if driving us themselves to catch a late afternoon boat trip. We extended our stay another night as we loved it so much."
