"The views of Mt Meru and the surrounding bush country were magnificent. The grounds include banana, papaya, mango, pineapple and avocado plants/trees, all of which enhance the experience. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. All speak English. We loved the food so much my wife wanted to bring the chef home (joking of course, but high praise). "really nice resort place to stay around kilimanjaro area. Every nice room and garden, 25 hours warm water for shower. Food is good and local and western options. Staff very helpful and friendly. Definitely need to check out this place when you come to kilimanjaro area for a relaxing stay."

"I stayed at Mount Meru Game Lodge before embarking on a 2-week safari and after 24 hours in the air. It was a wonderful place to unwind and sleep well before the trip. The location was convenient, the staff very friendly and helpful, the price was fair, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the setting was special having been a former sanctuary for game animals. Also, there was an onsite massage spa which was excellent."

AMEG IS A BIT OFF THE BEATEN PATH, BUT TUK TUK'S AND CABS ARE EASY TO GET. COULD SEE KILIMANJARO FROM THE GROUNDS. I WOULD STAY AGAIN."

"I stayed one night upon arrival to Moshi. I was warmly greeted late at night. Check in was super easy. They take a copy of your passport. My room - even though I’d booked a single - was much larger and had a double & single beds. Room was clean and tidy with enough plugs for charging your gadgets. There were toiletries including toothbrushes, soap, shampoo & lotion. Breakfast was included and I even got a nice chef-made omelette. They have a nice sitting area by the pool or you can sit inside. The lodge is quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure how to get the hot water to work but to me the water was lukewarm. Good enough for a quick cleansing. "

"There were 16 of us staying here over 4 days and we had such a great stay! The rooms were comfortable, the food excellent, the pool is nice, and the staff were fantastic! They made us feel so welcomed. Jackie went out of here way to help us with excursions and Godfrey, Betha, Judy and the other staff were so kind. I highly recommend staying here and we hope to be back again! "
