"Breakfast was a bit shambolic. Scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms and sausage for a cooked option is lacking somewhat. Even with such little hot selection it was rarely replenished meaning a wait. When the hotel is full, they'll never cope with thr size of the kitchen and the restaurant. That was the only disappointing thinking. Other than that, a faultless stay. "

We stayed in beautiful hotels in Portugal--this one is far/away the finest. Location is in the center of the historic, beautiful, charming village, which cannot be missed for meals, strolling, photos, etc. Highly recommend making the trip to the Arouca Geo Park for the Paiva Walkways and the suspension pedestrian bridge--experience of a lifetime!"

"Parking was just a hassle when we first arrived. Small tight parking lot area. Had to wait for someone to check out in order to have get a parking spot. Staff was very friendly and helpful "

"A very clean room with a private bath in a central location. Check-in was easy. The shared kitchen was convenient for storing a few items. Though we didn't use anything else, it certainly seemed well-equipped. Parking can be found in the area surrounding the apartments and is most often metered. The rooms are located on floor 3 and there is no elevator, so travel light. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area and would recommend it to others."

"Wonderful boutique hotel in a quieter area of Viseu surrounded by water fountains, a lovely church and a simply wonderful park with an abundance of wildlife. Great selection of close restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Vintage restaurant just a 2 minute walk. The owner is a real charmer. The staff at Avenida are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. A highly recommended stay"
