"One of three self catering properties located in a private banana plantation.Very peaceful at night and yet only a few hundred yards from Reids Palace.The property is very well equipped with separate lounge , bedroom (very comfortable bed) , bathroom and kitchen / diner.The kitchen has a balcony overlooking the banana trees and there are views to the bay from the bedroom and lounge. You also have shared use of a very nice swimming pool which I would imagine to be a huge bonus in the summer...

"The house was lovely and clean and well presented in a lovely garden setting. The pool was incredibly clean and sun loungers and towels provided. nice communal spaces for BBQ and eating outside. Enough on site parking in a secured garden area. Kitchen could benefit from some baking trays and a toaster, but everything else was provided. "Great apartment with everything you need. Leontina, the owner, is very friendly. The terrace has fabulous views and great for eating breakfast or a glass of wine. Ponta da Sol is a short drive and a nice little town with cafes and restaurants. The location is a great base for exploring the island. The drive up the hill is steep and twisty (but not narrow) but if you are intending to drive in Madeira that is something you have to accept. It is worth it!"

"Staying at this property was overall a positive experience. The location was fantastic although is on top of a steep hill so know that for driving purposes. I do wish they left more supplies at the house such as toilet paper and more towels for bathing but those are small things. NO AC and no fans which surprised me but, we went in July and were pretty comfortable without those things."
