"Church House was perfect for me and my three teen grandsons to explore Sao Miguel. There was plenty of room to spread out, inside and outside. The kitchen was well equipped, but be sure to buy ground coffee. There is no coffee grinder. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and very clean. The beds are comfortable. "We came to the Azores for my daughter's wedding. My wife picked out this place from the pic's on your site. The place far surpassed the photos. Have never seen grounds that were so beautiful and the cottage was just as nice. Great owners, friendly neighbors. Easy access to the highway. If (or when) we come back, I would stay here once again."

"This rental was recommended to us and am so glad it was. What a peaceful place! Beautiful gardens and the hosts are remarkable. Our flights were cancelled and Bonita worked with us to make some changes. They offered wonderful restaurant suggestions and spots to visit. We would absolutely stay where again if we return to the island!"

"This was in a perfect location. There was more than enough room for 6 adults. We enjoyed having dinner with the beautiful view. Antonio was a wonderful host. He was very friendly and helpful. He added to our good memories on Sao Miguel. If we come back, this is where we'll stay."

"We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful and relaxing family-run hotel! Ana Isabel and her staff are so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. "It’s a beautiful setting in the garden. The home is roomy and cozy, it has everything you need. It had a musty smell which is typical, I kept the windows open always which got rid of the smell. Windows have screens which is much appreciated! It is below another apartment so you do hear some footsteps and noise. This is why I didn’t give it full stars. You can sometimes hear dogs and loud cars in the distance but it’s not too bothersome."

"Nice hotel with a beautiful backdrop in a quiet local neighborhood. The hotel is gated, so it feels safe, and there is plenty of parking. The staff was wonferful - always willing to help any way they could, however the desk is not staffed 24/7, so getting a hold of someone wasnt always possible. The room was spacious and well stocked, however not the most updated/new (coffee maker leaked water, microwave door stuck, ice cune tray was broken, sliding glass door to patio was very hard to open)....

"The hotel smelled lovely upon arrival—spa-like. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and very pleasant. Although it is a conference center, it didn't feel overwhelming and large. Our room was cozy, although a bit of a hike from the stairs/elevator. We had a nice view, and I enjoyed the balcony. We did not eat at the hotel but had a drink at the bar—Mark-Anthony, the young bartender, was excellent. He was thoughtful and made a great mojito. If you like larger hotels, this is a lovely place to stay - not right in the action but walking distance to everything."
