"Hotel Camburi Praia is a very basic hotel in a small, country village 2hrs south-west of Sao Paulo along the coast. I stayed there for a work engagement. Camburi village is a typical of the area; rustic, weather-beaten, but welcoming enough. You should have some basic knowledge of portuguese though to get by. Hotel Camburi Praia is just off the main street running through the village and about 150m from the beach. It's a very basic hotel (my room 34 was a bit dated, but comfortable enough)....

"I love this hotel. We had a fabulous time. The hotel is on the beach which is exactly what I was looking for. The staff is helpful and kind. "I enjoyed my stay overall. The only complaint I have is that I requested a quiet room, and on my first night there was a guest birthday party. l had to leave my room around 10:00 pm to avoid the loud noise from party. Since I requested a quiet room, I expected to give me a room far away from any party. The owner and employees were very nice. The transportation to the beach was a plus."
