"Normally a great place. Lots of noise this time from what appeared to be another room’s refrigerator"

"I booked a two night stay at this hotel. I checked in, brought luggage in, everything was fine. The room didnt have an odor, besides a slight smell in the bathroom that was tolerable. I turned on the ac unit to cool down the room and I immediately left to get to an event. I was gone for about 4 hours. I came back with my family, and the room smelled sickening. We could not breathe from the smell of mold/mildew that came from the ac after running it for a while. This wasnt a smell that we could just "deal with". We would get sick if we slept in this overnight, let alone two nights. I informed the staff and they tried to get me to another room. The smell was worse in there without the ac on. It was the only room they had left, so I was offered a refund but I had to call Expedia first. After processing this cancelation, I was told it was only one night refund and the GM would have to approve the second night. Needless to say, after having to find a new hotel at 10pm with two kids and an elderly mother, the GM did not grant the second night refund, given the fact they couldn't accommodate me in a room we wont get sick in. If the GM would have allowed my full refund, everything would have been ok. We ended up at a Quality Inn 25 min away that was so much better. GM of this property - do better. I understand cancelation policies, and I was very polite to your staff, but this wasn't a situation where I changed my mind. This was a health risk. Ethically you should have understood."

"The staff was friendly and even helped steer us towards a great spot for lunch in downtown Sarasota. The breakfast was great and offered hot options instead of just the typical continental breakfast. I LOVED the mesmerizing decor and the cleanliness throughout the property. Just one complaint: the A/C in the room did not get very cold. But we really did enjoy our stay and will return! "

"Lots of construction, outside grounds loaded with garbage and human waste, mostly dirty diapers. I asked for quiet room for dog and hotel did supply a back room close to exit. Hallway under construction. Room was worn but clean, bed clean. Breakfast was unsupervised with lots of folks using hands without utensils. We skipped breakfast and checked out early."

"The hotel is ok, but one thing was extremely annoying and bothered, there was so many tiny flies in the bathroom non stop! It was really hard to wash your face, brush teeth with all that insects flying around your face all the time. Breakfast was ok. It’s just people staying there were kinda annoying and didn’t care there are others around them. Definitely not going back. I just expect more from hotel like this."

"We had a problem with getting the shuttle to pick us up at the airport to take us to the hotel. The desk person forgot to send the shuttle right after I requested it. We waited over a half an hour, so I called again. We finally got the shuttle. Everything else was fine."

"I was really upset about cleaning condition the room did have strong smell like somebody smoked on it ,room was not clean the door of my diha foot print on it , blanket was clean overall cleaning was the biggest thing."
