"Filipa receptionist was extremely helpful, particularly trying to sort out trains to Lisbon. It was also lovely to meet the owner who was keen to ensure our stay was as good as possible, even though it was only for 2 nights. Given outside temperature of 37C on one day, it was delightful to be in an air-conditioned room set at a comfortably cool temperature. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, a short, flat walk from the station."

"This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The staff are always friendly, the breakfast is great and caters for all tastes. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-kept. The grounds are also well maintained by what seems an army of gardeners. There is plenty of parking. One negative though, which my partner always comments on, is the unevenness of the carpet in the bar area, her being not so clever on her pins, is always weary of trip hazards."

"The property was wonderful. It felt traditional, yet modern. Mark and Lerryn were fantastic hosts. They were always on hand should we need any help or support. The pool and patio area were sublime. We spent many a day relaxing and cooking in these areas. The only negative that we experienced was how uncomfortable we found the beds. Im a side sleeper, so find very hard beds no good for my hips or shoulders. My partner also found the beds to be too hard. We had to sleep downstairs on the sofabed, which was not ideal. Mark and Lerryn did offer us a spare mattress, but we didnt want to cause anymore fuss Overall, we had a lovely time at Casa Lerryn. We would highly recommend it. "

"So beautiful! Terrific amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool, massage therapist, fresh squeezed oj and papaya and fresh bread, amazing pastries and farm fresh eggs each morning. And soooo walkable! All the staff - guest services, dining staff, housekeeping were kind, helpful, gracious, and welcoming!! The hotel is set in a park on the river with walking bridges to each side. And our balcony looking over the park and river and phenomenal views of Knights Templar castle, which is within walking distance from the hotel. "
