Pleasant Apartment with One (Big) Disappointment
First the positive: the apartment was accurately described, with one exception (see below). It was nicely furnished and decorated, it was conveniently located in a pleasant square, and it was clean inside.
The disappointment involved the patio outside the master bedroom. Access to a pleasant outdoor area where one can eat meals and relax is an essential element for us when we look for a place to stay. The patio was unusable. We sat there once to read a little but didn’t stay long. The patio floor—and even table—were covered with bird droppings and bits of moss and other debris from the surrounding roof. The amount increased as our week went on. It even smelled unpleasant and felt unhealthy to spend time there. I occasionally went there to open or shut the shutter in the smaller bedroom and had to pick my way to avoid stepping on debris and tracking it inside the apartment.
We mentioned this problem to the manager, who indicated that it is an ongoing issue. The patio gets cleaned, but the birds come back and soil the area again. Some longer-term solution is needed.
But because of this, we would not return.
