"Breakfast was poor, very limited fresh fruit, eggs mixed in with sausages which meant no good for vegetarians, yogurts weren’t bio only cornflakes or rolled oats as cereal options, not up to 4 star level. Cats allowed to roam free, with their food bowls on the furniture No tea bags in the room and large dead spider in bathroom completely missed by cleaner However reception staff were very helpful and the view is amazing. "This was a superb hotel as a base for our 5 night trip. Although situated just outside the main town it is excellent value for money whilst offering a high standard. The rooms are extremely spacious and the whole of the hotel is modern, airy and welcoming. The restaurant is situated on the top floor with lovely views of the mountains and the breakfast offering was plentiful and delicious. A big shout out to Fabrice, the restaurant manager, who was so very friendly and helpful in giving us tips on the local area. Dinner was also of a high standard and we enjoyed an amazing steak that was cooked to perfection and well presented. The pool ( again situated on the top floor), was a welcome addition to cool off in the hot weather we experienced during our stay. "

"Although clean (and the bed comfortable), the main problem with my room was a terrible stench that seemed to emerge from the direction of the air conditioner and which lingered in the room despite airing it. I thought at first this was a result of seaside heat and humidity, so I didn't report the smell. A few days later, when I opened the safe the day before my departure, my passport and other valuables were wet. That is when I realized that the nasty odor was due to chronic leaking of the AC and the water dripping and seeping into the closet and woodwork right under the AC, including the metal safe attached to the wall of the closet!! I had an early departure the day after, so I didn't have time to complain, but other reviews have reported similar bad smells, and if AC leaks are also the problem, then something needs to be done. You don't want people's valuables and passports to get wet inside the safe that's meant to protect them. On the upside, the hotel provides a shuttle service (a "navette") to and from the Ajaccio airport, which is convenient. Also, you can take the beach shuttle right outside the hotel, which will get you to various beaches in the "Rive Sud." "
