We are offering this charming single-storey house for rent in the village of Saujon. It has a floor area of 115 m² and can accommodate up to 7 guests. It comprises a lovely 30 m² living room, a fully fitted kitchen, three spacious bedrooms, a bathroom, and a garden of approximately 550 m². Wi-Fi (fibre optic), bed linen and towels available at an extra charge – we’re just waiting for you!

The property is laid out as follows:
- A 30 m² living room with a TV, sofa bed, two electric armchairs, a wood-burning stove and a dining area
- A fully fitted kitchen including: electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob, Dolce Gusto pod coffee machine, filter coffee machine, Cookéo, oil-free deep fryer, electric mincer, kitchen scales…
- A bathroom with a walk-in shower
- A separate toilet

Sleeping area:
- Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160×200), a walk-in wardrobe with hangers and a TV
- Bedroom 2: one queen-size bed (160×200), walk-in wardrobe with hangers and TV
- Bedroom 3: one single bed, one bunk bed and TV
One fan per bedroom.

Outdoors:
- A beautiful, fully enclosed garden of 550 m².
- An 80 m² terrace, facing east and south, with a garden table for 10 people, 2 parasols and garden furniture including a sofa to enjoy sunny days.

For even greater comfort, the owners have decided to invest in the following additional equipment: barbecue, plancha, high chair, cot with mattress, baby bath, changing mat, potty, washing machine, fan, iron and ironing board.

In winter, the house is heated entirely by the wood-burning stove, which is designed to heat the whole property. It is a BBC (very low energy consumption) house. Firewood is provided.

The house is ideally situated in Saujon, in a very pleasant setting. You’ll find all the essential shops nearby, as well as boutiques, restaurants, bars and a market…

Activities:
- Lac de la Lande, a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive away, features an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a children’s playground, a fishing area, a ski lift, tennis courts and a pétanque court.
- The ‘Train des Mouettes’, located in Saujon, is a 5-minute drive away. It takes you to La Tremblade to sample the local speciality, ‘éclades de moules’.
- The town offers canoe hire on the River Seudre.
- Royan is a 15-minute drive away, 1 hour from La Rochelle and Île de Ré, 30 minutes from Île d’Oléron, and 45 minutes from Fouras, where you can catch the ferry to Île d’Aix. There is a ferry in Royan that crosses the Gironde estuary, allowing you to reach Bordeaux quickly. Saujon is 45 minutes from Cognac, where you can visit the Hennessy and Rémy Martin cellars. La Palmyre Zoo is about 30 minutes away.

Transport:
If you choose to come by car, you can park directly in front of the garage (2 saloon cars or one 4x4) and inside the garage (1 car) at the house.

As for other modes of transport, here is some information that you may find useful:
- Nearest railway station: Saujon station, 4.8 km away (about 7 minutes by car)
- Nearest airport: La Rochelle-Île de Ré Airport, 71 km away (about 59 minutes’ drive)

Other notes:
- The wood-burning stove is in working order and wood is provided.
- Bed linen (€15 per bed) and towels (€5 per person) are not included but can be provided on request prior to arrival, at an additional cost (to be arranged and paid by cheque to our on-site partner).
- The following are provided in the accommodation: eco-friendly cleaning products, tea towels, a sponge and hand sanitiser.
- Free Wi-Fi available (fibre optic).
- Up to 3 pets are allowed free of charge in the accommodation; please specify this when booking.
- Pet bowls and mats.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future guests. Please leave it in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
