Come experience the wonders for yourself and stay with us at Bears Rest. You will love staying in this charming one bedroom, one bath cabin. It has everything you need for an authentic mountain experience!

The lodge inspired decor give this home a distinct mountain feel. The kitchen is furnished with a full size refrigerator, stove top and oven. We provide the cookware and cooking utensils, as well as flatware and dinnerware. There's a microwave and coffee maker, too. All you need to bring are the groceries! Spend time on the outdoor deck, relax and rest in your new home away from home. Please note that the wood stove is ornamental and not functional for burning wood. The hot tub is out of service at this time. (03/28/26)

Built to accommodate three, there is one queen bedroom with a twin size daybed. The cabin has central heat and air, cable television and ceiling fans. Bears Rest is equipped with an outdoor dining area, so you can even enjoy your meals outside as you take in the tranquility of the forest. If you like s'mores and toasted marshmallows, this cabin offers access to a community fire pit for your favorite campfire treats.

From Bears Rest, you are in close proximity to a variety of sensational attractions. The popular town of Alpine Helen is only about 5 miles away. Modeled after a Bavarian Village, Helen provides a unique experience. While you're there, you can explore shops and galleries, restaurants and candy stores. If you time your visit just right, you can experience one of Helen's exciting annual festivals, like Oktoberfest. The cabin is located near Unicoi State Park, making it easy to discover the natural wonders of the region. From the park, you can take hikes on the many trails, cross over sparkling creeks and climb to see the tumbling waterfalls. Whether you are here for adventure, relaxation, or both, you're sure to have an amazing time!

• Access: The road is dirt and gravel to the cabin. Not recommended for low-profile vehicles.
