Summary:
Shain Manor is located a few blocks from River Street & all the historic sights! Located on the ground floor, no stairs, the home is elegant, modernized with a lush outdoor oasis.
The Space:
Stepping into this recently renovated 1897 Victorian home, guests will be enchanted by the period gas lanterns and the lush landscaping that flanks the front of the home.
Inside, guests are welcomed by an abundance of natural daylight from the floor to ceiling windows outfitted with privacy screens for night time hours. The historic wide-plank hardwood floors, original wood beams and architectural details have been preserved and polished. The décor has been artfully curated by the owner with a palette of blue and white accented by natural aesthetics. Sisal rugs, an abundance of plants and antique artwork add character and interest. No detail is overlooked in the modern amenities provided for your comfort.
This is an ideal home for people with limited physical abilities as everything is on one floor with no stairs.
The kitchen is spacious with new appliances, granite countertops, and fully equipped with anything needed to whip up a dinner or a simple cup of tea. Provided are a Cuisinart pod-coffee maker, a Breville toaster oven, a dishwasher, electric stove and fridge. The kitchen sink features a reverse-osmosis room temperature and boiling water filtration system.
The dining area is at the front of the home with a marble table and seating for four looking out to the neighborhood beyond. The living room has plenty of points of interest: books, games and a Roku TV for streaming.
The Garden level bedroom has a QUEEN bed with a new mattress, luxury cotton linens, extra seating and an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo and includes a laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer.
The kitchen door opens to an outdoor garden oasis with a European-inspired painted mural wall, comfy seating and lush fauna. Guests will enjoy the neighborhood sounds of church bells, horses clomping and ships’ horns.
Located between Columbia and Greene Squares, Shain Manor is on the corner of York and Price Streets. We are a 5-minute walk to River Street; 4 blocks to the retail mecca of Broughton Street, and walkable to all the must-see sights!
