Tasteful Two Bedroom on Warren Square with Parking by Lucky Savannah

The bright exterior of our two-bedroom, two-bath Harper House cheerfully welcomes you to this unique vacation property. Located directly across from Warren Square on the first floor of a historic, two-story Victorian home, Harper House can comfortably accommodate up to six Lucky guests for a true “live like a local” Savannah experience.

The understated elegance of the living area comes from the high ceilings, original, decorative hearth and tasteful furnishings. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV and queen sleeper-sofa modernize the living space. Original pocket doors, a classic feature in Victorian homes, separates the living area from the Premium bedroom. The original hardwood floors extend into the Premium bedroom, where you’ll find another decorative hearth, mirrored armoire and a carved wooden headboard above the king-size bed.

Spacious, warm and bright, the completely renovated, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare meals at home. Just off the kitchen is the second bedroom, which has a queen bed and fully renovated, en suite bath with a large vanity.

Step outside to the cozy, private courtyard where a bistro set waits for you to enjoy your morning coffee, and a gas grill is available for bbq-ing on a sunny Savannah afternoon. You’ll be just minutes from the excitement of River Street, with Savannah’s best shopping, dining and historic attractions all within walking distance.

Great location

Perfect place for a family near lots of places to eat, etc. Especially if you plan to attend the annual St. Patrick's day parade. Love the park across the street and appreciated the representative helping me access the property. She was very patient!

Someone came out and when we came home we had to call someone again. It was extremely uncomfortable to sleep in the heat at night. We were unable to find a place to throw our garbage when we left.

Problems

This property is in an excellent location and is very charming. However it has issues. On Day 1, there was a faint sewage smell that got progressively worse. By Day 4 it was intolerable and was reported. At the same time, the property manager notified us that an exterminator was coming over for a "routine" spray. However, we were then told that there was a flea issue in Savannah. At the same time, they were trying to get a plumber to visit. That was cancelled because we were not allowed in the property for 2hrs due to the extermination. When the plumber finally came in, of course nothing was found. The property manager did visit and concurred that it was inhabitable. We were moved to a different house, worse location, no parking. When we went to pack our things, we found live fleas in our items and everything has to be laundered because of the smell. Supposedly we are supposed to get a refund. However it has been a week now, and we have received nothing. Would NOT recommend!

Great Location, Clean and Very Pleasant Flat and Furniture

Reviewer Comments: Pros: - Awesome location, about two blocks from where Broughton gets fun (restaurants, shopping, workout, bike rental, etc).- Very clean flat, excellent furniture and other accessories- Sheets and towel packages very cute, very well done- Washer dryer- Property management company very professional and responsive Cons:- We came for Christmas and knew we'd have to cook and eat at least two meals. Kitchen is nice and has all necessary pots and pans, but there is no good eating area. Also, bring your own salt, pepper, and even dish soap. - Gas grill out of gas (sigh).- SD cable (seriously?). We didn't come to watch TV, but the Warriors played the Cavs on Christmas day and I was really looking forward to the game. Nice TV in living room, but SD signal was stretched over HD screen. Ugh. For close to $300 a night, you figure you could get HD.Bottom line. If you're looking for a great place to crash while visiting Savannah, it's a wonderful property in a great location. If you're looking to cook and eat in with 4 adults or so, not so much (and bring all the basics).

Location cannot be beat!

The location, property, and communication set this apart from many others. The property manager was fantastic when I had access issues after misreading the instructions - even with a late night arrival. They were very responsive. The property is nice and well kept. The location is a 10 minute, shaded walk to one end of town or a 5 minute relaxing walk to River Street. Having a parking place was also a big plus. You will not be disappointed with this one

Nice location

Pros:The location was very nice, just on the eastern side of the historic district, walkable just about everywhere within a few blocks. Trolley pick up is just outside your door. The place was clean. Parking is right outside your door in a lot. Bathrooms updated.Cons:Its a good place to stay if location is your main objective. The place is old and a little run downish. Everything in Savannah is older and has charm, this just didn't have a lot of the charm part. You enter thought the back fence which is fine. I believe there are other units in this large house but ours faced a parking lot. The master bedroom has an old wooden sliding door that probably needs replaced. There are 2 bedrooms and neither had a TV. This might be ok for some folks but we had some kids and it would've been nice at night have the option. Also, I did contact the property manager via text and never got a response about a blanket for the sofa bed. We managed, we're not picky.Overall, we had a pretty good time but doubt we would stay at this particular location again.

Great location

The location was perfect for exploring the historic district. The apartment was quaint, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. It was great having a dedicated parking spot. We specifically wanted a place with an outside area, which it has, but it wasn’t anything notable and ended up never using it.The management company was so helpful. They let us store our luggage at their office while we were waiting for check in time, and went above and beyond answering our questions.

Close to everything

We came to Savannah to drop of our college student. I love the location. It was close to Funky Brunch, Java Burrito, and Leopold’s ice cream. A short walk to River Street. It is in a quiet section of Congress Street. Check in was seamless. Directions were on point. We will be back. Thank you!

There were weed plants with burrs in the parking lot and grass. They would get stuck on our shoes and were all over the house floor. They were even in places we hadn't walked with our shoes on; not cleaned from the last guests. It wouldn't take much to kill the weed and would make a big difference.
