The two stand-outs for me were: The picture south-facing window, so had wonderful light and an incredible view that changed through the day: The downstairs bedroom which stayed cool even with 30c days. "Maison Artus was a beautiful holiday villa a few minutes drive from magical Uzes. Our host and owner, Stephanie, could not have been more helpful and friendly from the time of booking and was immediately responsive to our questions. The villa was comprehensively equipped and very stylish. It technically sleeps 8 but we were 5 adults which felt perfect for the size of house. A very lovely place to holiday in a truly special region of France."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The Maison was well equipped, clean and Rachel was very helpful and available to us. The only reason we didn’t give her all fives was it was listed for 4 adults. The house was too small for 4 but Rachel offered the other two companions other accommodations. We highly recommend the Maison for 2-3 adults max."

A €10 kettle, hot water that runs out, 4 sun loungers, the 5th was broken (please see below Re dishonesty of the owner), a property crammed into an end of garden plot. The owner hassled to check in early as this keeps her cleaning cost down. It was plain that the cleaner was completely adverse to the stated VRBO check in. Despite the property being advertised as a 4pm check in, I was repeatedly called by Brigitte the absent owner, asking if we could get...

"Nous avons passé un mois très agréable dans ce très joli Mas aux murs de belles pierres nous protégeant de la chaleur le plus longtemps possible !!! Un merveilleux jardin sur plusieurs bancelles desservies par de nombreux escaliers de pierres. Chacune d’elles offrent un lieu spécifique et arboré. Le terrain de boules , une sublime terrasse et son allée de rosiers puis ’une super piscine entourée d’arbres dont un figuier sur lequel nous nous délections… Notre hôte a été formidable! "Sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Haus mit guter Austattung. Das Zentrum von Uzès ist zu Fuß in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Das Auto kann also stehen bleiben, was insbesondere an Markttagen sehr sinnvoll ist. Für Großeinkäufe steht im Haus ein Trolley zur Verfügung. Lob auch an die Concierge Stéphanie, die uns viele Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben hat."
