"We had a wonderful time in Recco. The very well-kept house is located on a hill in the hinterland of Recco in a nicely landscaped property with a view of the sea. Der Ausblick auf Rapallo ist grandios. Der Olivenhain rund ums Haus gleicht einem botanischen Garten. Pflanzen-Interessierten geht das Herz auf. "Great old home decorated well in the mountains of small town. Naps pool side under the veranda listening to the nature all around was a daily event. We had plans to go to Portifino but never made it. The property was a nice escape after being in very crowded cities. I would stay here again if I ever make it back to Italy. "Paolo, the owner & manager of Villa Degli Ulivi was a joy to meet. He was attentive to our every need & more. The Villa has been updated, is spotlessly clean, in a wonderfully convenient location and has a great view. We didn’t have a car but restaurants, bars, shops & supermarkets were within a short walk…and Portofino and Cinque Terre are easy accessible by private taxi which Paolo recommended. Our party of 6 adults all highly recommend him & his Villa."

"We stayed with a group from age 3 to 78. The property was huge and beautiful to explore, the pool was cleaned daily, and patios were perfect for dinners. The 2BR poolhouse was perfect for the family with toddlers. We had a perfect view of 3 nights of fireworks for Signora di Montellegro. We did hear the noise from the firing range nearby, but it wasn't that loud and didn't bother anyone in our group. "The house is lovely. It's nice and big and we could spread out. The Property manager made sure we had everything we needed. But there are some drawbacks. The bathrooms don't have regular showers. Four of the five bathrooms have handheld showers in a bathtub which is a little difficult for Americans who are not used to it. The lighting in the kitchen is very poor and we like to cook. The utensils and pots and pans were also not great, and made it difficult to cook."

"The apartment was clean and well equipped for cooking , cleaning etc. The pictures of the place are accurate and the views are spectacular. The covered parking was great. The brick promenade made access to the train and shopping a special walk which we enjoyed immensely. Great place to stay but save the car rental and use the train. The station is a 15 minute walk and trains are frequent and cheap."
