Four Winds Casino Resort – New Buffalo

10/10 Excellent

"we Loved our stay at Four Winds and will definitely be back. The rooms were very accommodating and Very Clean and Comfortable Staff was very Nice and Helped with any questions we had! Casino was nice, Except for the Money we Lost but we enjoyed had a great time The Restaurants were very good as well, We enjoyed the Buffet especially on Wednesday, Senior Discount, Food was great and the Variety was excellent. We had Timbers for Dinner Thursday and Food was awesome as well as Breakfast on Friday. The Daily Specials was a good Choice. Food Very good!"

"My husband and I just got back from a quick two-night getaway here. We had a really good time overall, but there were definitely some hits and misses!The Good Stuff:The hot tub was amazing and super relaxing.Getting a free welcome margarita when we checked in was such a fun, unexpected surprise.The room looked modern and was mostly really clean. Housekeeping did miss a couple of small things—like an old coffee pod left inside the Keurig and a leftover paper plate out on the balcony (we just tossed it ourselves, no big deal since I know balconies are hard to keep up with).The Not-So-Good Stuff:My biggest letdown was the beach situation. The description on Hotels.com explicitly calls it a "rare find" where you can "enjoy uninterrupted access to the beach." There actually isn't a beach here at all—it's just a harbor. A real beach is close by, but we had to drive to it every time.The room view was also pretty misleading. We got a "Golf View," but that really means you're looking at a parking lot and railroad tracks first, with the golf course way in the background. I was hoping to read my book looking at green grass, not a parking lot!Lastly, we bought some drinks at the bar later on, and honestly, the free check-in margarita in the plastic cup tasted way better than the expensive one we paid for."

"We were a group of 6 families with elementary aged kids and The Sawyer met all of our needs and then some. Tim is a wonderful host, meeting us on arrival for a very quick orientation, and was readily available for any issues (he replaced an empty propane tank with an hour of teaching out). Three separate washing machine and dryer combos was greatly appreciated as were the two refrigerators plus chest freezer. Our only suggestion if space and plumbing allows would be to add a second dishwasher. The on site dumpster helped keep the house clean, though we definitely would have recycled if the option existed. We were also pleasantly surprised to find 12 beach chairs in the party barn. Walk ability to Sawyer Garden Center, Infusco coffee, and Sideyard brewery also came in very handy."
