"Second time staying here. Excellent little hotel just outside Chamonix, quietly set near the river in the forest with great views of the Aiguille du Dru. Friendly, welcoming. Comfortable room, a triple which was effectively two rooms with lots of space. Nothing too grand but very comfortable and clean, with a balcony. The only challenge is the narrow stairs (no lift). "This is a perfect location if you want to ski at La Flegere, and the views from the rooms are incredible. It is a bit far from the more downtown area so you need to take the night bus to get back if you will be out past 9pm, but there are still some restaurants around that are walkable. The room itself was clean, and a good size for two people. Staff is very friendly. The highlight is certainly the location and the views. "

"For a basic hotel, very good. No AC (but they never said there was, so that's OK). What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows.
