"Nice old hotel, I like staying at these grand old hotels when possible! Very welcoming and friendly staff, car park was small but they found me the last spot when I arrived in the evening later than planned. I was hoping to use the electric car chargers but these were occupied by contract guests so arrive early or perhaps arrange with them beforehand if your electric car is nearly out of juice! Very handy feature to have, even better if I'd been able to use it!"

"Plenty of parking spaces right outside the entrance. Staff are so friendly. Lake view from the well maintained gardens. Powerful hot shower. Lovely good priced food. Could do with a bit more drawer space in the family room, and a plug socket near the kettle. Would definitely recommend. Lovely warm swimming pool as well. Plenty of towels to use. "

The breakfast was wonderful; the new coffee machine and coffee helped us recover from jetlag; the walking distance to downtown on lightly trafficked roads allowed us to walk down to our reservations in town. "Breakfast good. Free parking ideal. Condition of room terrible. No heater. We tried 2 rooms and mattress were terrible in both. Shower leaked permanently. Very difficult to have a restful sleep there."
