"HIghly recommend this property. I had a magnificent view of the valley, the sunrise and birds singing will be unforgettable. The staff is helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast with quality food included. Montalcino is a cool hilltop town. If you plan an overnight, make this your hotel of choice. "

"Much, much nicer hotel than appears outside - very friendly staff, large clean rooms, good breakfast and handy to walk into Sienna. If you want to park at the hotel, book early otherwise its street parking."

"Located at the far end of Siena (15 minutes taxi ride from the train station) on a quiet street with not much pedestrian traffic unlike the rest of the town. It is still close to the main square, cathedral, museums and all other interesting sites. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a view to a beautiful little garden below. The breakfast was OK with cheese, pastries, fruit and good coffee. Our only complaint (hence minus one star on facilities) would be non-existent WiFi in the room, it was extremely slow and was losing connection all the time. "

"The hotel is amazing! This hotel was a monastery built in the 13th century. Major problem, no elevator. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Ours was on the 3rd, hauling luggage was not fun. The other annoying part was the included breakfast started at 8am. We had an early train reservation which meant no breakfast for us. When we explained at the front desk, they didn’t offer any solutions. "

"We had a great stay at Alma Domus we booked an economy double which was a good size with a very comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was clean and everything worked as it should. The room was serviced daily. The location was great close to a bus terminal and only a short walk to the Duomo and main Piazza and approximately 15/20 minutes walk from the train station (there is a bus too and taxis are available) For the price it is amazing value as the breakfast is fabulous and really sets you up for the day. If we were to return to Siena we would certainly book to stay in the Alma Domus."
