It is also famous for the Whitby Jet jewellery, where you’ll find lots of jewellers creating beautiful bespoke items. The seaside resorts of Filey and Scarborough are just a short drive away. Lovely cottage set in pretty village.

Lovely cottage set in pretty village. The cottage was well equipped with everything you would need and wine, chocolates and cupcakes left by owner a much appreciated thought.Although no onsite parking, this was not a problem as always found roadside parking opposite cottage. Bus service from Hemsley to Scarborough every 2 hours just 5 minutes from cottage. Large garden ,weather permitting ! The only thing I would have preferred was a blind on kitchen patio door for dark evenings, but that is personal preference, overall would wholeheartedly recommend cottage to couples or families.
