Dies sind insbesondere unterschiedliche Laubwälder, Quellgebiete, Fließgewässer, Offenlandbiotope und Felsbildungen. Die größten Flächenanteile wurden zuvor militärisch verwaltet durch die belgischen Streitkräfte genutzt.
