Pond House - Donnell's Pond in Franklin, Maine

"This is a perfect spot for families. Right on Donnell Pond with a small dock and kayaks and paddle boat. We loved looking down the grassy yard to the water. The house is clean and bright and full of windows. We enjoyed eating on the deck swinging in the hammock and kayaking around the crystal clear water. Comfortable beds, great kitchen equipment pots and pans. And a host who brings extra kayak paddles in 15 minutes and had a great sense of humor.Not to mention the nearby blueberry fields and little farmstsnf just down the road."

"We had a wonderful stay at Aspen cabin! The pond is so peaceful and wonderful for swimming and kayaking. The cabin’s location for our outings and visits to Acadia was really nice. We enjoyed the fire pit and the cabin was well stocked and clean. We would definitely return and recommend it to others."

"Nichole was a great host and everything was laid out the way it said in the description. The view outside from the house to the lake with breathtaking very comfortable outside. This Cabin had all the amenities that we needed and work and the outdoor shower was a nice surprise.Tucked back in the woods away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. It was very peaceful and relaxing, and we hope to come back in the future.."

"This is was our first trip to Maine, so choosing a suitable place is very chancy. Based on the photos and the location to our areas of interests we choose this lake property. We arrived late on our first day, so we only appreciated the condition of the home inside. Besides the weather being incredible, the inside was extremely homey and cozy for our feels. The home was extremely packed with all of the things we would need, plus offered extreme comfort and space for our group of 9.Once the sun came up on the lake...WOW!!!! The sunlight opened up our eyes to the pure beauty of the property. Normally we aren't lake people, but this property changed my opinion. The dock was awesome, the kayaks were something we absolutely enjoyed regularly. We literally altered our plans to spend more time enjoying the property.The host was "on it" when it comes to communication. He was open to suggestions and feedback during our stay. We did mention the toilet paper quality, which was resolved the next morning with the good stuff. He was spectacular when it comes to communication and being understanding. I believe good communication helps everyone, and this was the case at this home. We would absolutely love the opportunity to return in the future to this home. Our time in Maine has propelled my entire family, and their families to move to Maine!!! Thank you so much for such an ideal experience in Maine, this home was AWESOME!"

"Taylor camp was an extraordinary place. It was blissfully isolated, and secluded. Myself and my entire family enjoyed it enormously. The Taylor’s were very easy people to work with and communicated to us on a regular basis before and during our stay. My only criticism of the property and this really doesn’t involve The property itself is that it was buggy during our stay. On days, where there wasn’t a nice breeze, you could get a little harassed by the flying critters. I don’t know if there’s a better time of year to go, but we will be looking into whether there is one for our next stay."
Lakefront Family Camp w/ Kayaks & Firepit

"This was a quaint, older property that has been furnished with some modern appliances and TV. There is no WiFi at the property, but the owner has provided cable TV in the living room and several family-friendly board games and card games. The home is cozy, with a spacious primary bedroom with a queen bed plus a mid-size secondary bedroom with two double beds. The remaining two beds are in a very low-ceiling loft adjacent to the living room, and a small wooden ladder is the only access to the loft. The loft is open to the living room, so all sound will travel to the loft (something to keep in mind for light sleepers).The deck, with an attached dock, is only feet from the edge of a beautiful lake and is the perfect place for early morning or late-night relaxing. Access to the home is about a 6-minute ride down a well-maintained dirt/gravel road, so there is very little traffic passing by aside from a handful of neighbors. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe that were available on the beach, which was a 2-minute walk down the road.This is a great property for a small family looking for the basics in a rental home that is far removed from civilization."
