"Elsa’s Inn was fantastic! The property is located overlooking a beautiful harbor and lighthouse. The old 1800s home is charming and beautifully decorated. Extremely comfortable and inviting. Gayle made me feel so at home and relaxed. I only planned one night but stayed three. Her breakfast is not to be missed! The area is so interesting. I learned a lot about lobstering! It is a very historic area. Bed was extremely comfortable private bath excellent hot shower. It was just the perfect getaway. Thank you, Gayle! I will return and recommend.!"

"Albeit our stay was too short, the view and closeness to the ocean alone were worth it. I highly suggest opening the hopper windows so you can hear the waves crashing from inside the place. We arrived on a Friday and left on a Sunday. Although it rained on Saturday, the experience made the place even cozier. It gave us full license to just relax and be. Naturally you can get provisions, we did buy some fruit, wine, cheese and crackers as well as ingredients to make a big breakfast at Winter Harbor Provisions. But there are nearby places to eat. We ordered pizza one night from The Wrinkled Pickle, which also had live music and a trivia night. We did make a fire in the fire pit on Friday night. Easy to do as Tom provided firewood. In fact, the owner's guidebook is quite helpful so be sure to check it out. It has directions for most everything you'll need and some recommendations to boot. I'd highly recommend everyone driving the Schoodic Loop as its so close by. I am already missing the place as I type.Some very minor suggestions - possibly update the games available. Most of them are outdated. Love to see Sorry, Battleship, and Chess, etc. And upgrade the single-ply toilet paper. "

"We loved staying in the top floor apartment for 3 nights. Such a relaxing get-away in the quaint little town of Winter Harbor. The apartment has a nice view from the sliding glass door and had everything we needed. Very clean and felt newly renovated. Very nice kitchen. Our host was very nice and accommodating. The restaurant, also owned by the host, was great. We would definitely return. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Ledgeview cottage! Wonderful remote location away from the business of Bar Harbor but close enough to drive to and very close to Schoodic peninsula. Amazing views of the ocean from almost every room in the house especially the beautiful deck where we would enjoy the sunrise with our coffee and later at night star gazing. There were very nice extras that made our stay especially nice … loved having the binoculars to look out at the ocean as the boats were coming in… even spotted dolphins! Communication with the host was great! Poor WiFi but who cares when you have all that beauty surrounding you. It’s nice to be unplugged anyway! This house had ample living space for our party of 4 and was very clean with cute decor. Could not be happier that we chose this cottage for our first visit to Maine!"

"We enjoyed our stay in Winter Harbor. The house is exactly as advertised. It is very cute, but roomy enough to accommodate 4-6 adults no problem. The best thing though, it is within easy walking distance to the harbor, the Five and Dime store (literally next door), restaurants, and the grocery store. It's the perfect location in this charming town. The only improvement we could think of was a little more furniture - a couple more chairs in the living room (although it has a big sectional couch) and a chest/dresser in the bedrooms the larger bedrooms for clothes, electronics, etc. The owner is quick to respond and easy to work with, and the check-in / out were refreshingly simple."
