Superior Reflections Cabin 3
Can’t decide between a cabin on the lake or a cabin in the woods? Superior Reflections #3 is the best of both worlds. This is the perfect place to get away from it all (NO WIFI) on a peaceful plot of land overlooking Lake Superior. Access to the cobblestone shore of the lake is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the gravel driveway. While not directly on Lake Superior, you are nestled amongst the trees in a quiet and peaceful setting. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 2 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods.
This 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin has a full bed in each room. The main room includes a kitchen with the basic necessities, and a couch and 2 chairs and a TV for the DVD player and HDMI input for watching movies. The TV is not connected with an antenna or satellite, and is just for DVD viewing. The bathroom has a shower and a view of the woods. There’s a cozy porch with a table and chairs to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and look out at Lake Superior. It’s the perfect spot to watch for Ore boats off in the distance. Outside there’s a picnic table and charcoal grill.
Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza.
This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.
We provide towels, linens and soaps. Please bring your personal toiletries (shampoo, conditioner).

We had a wonderful vacation in Schroeder in this great cabin paradise! It was especially helpful to be able to bring our dogs along. Having Lake Superior just down the hill was the highlight of our stay! We had everything we needed, and all of us were very comfortable. Thank you!
Great location to the Superior Hiking Trail and Lake Superior. Super clean and had everything we wanted. And beach access with a short walk! Good cabin for a couple or family as bedroom ceilings are connected. Thanks for being pet-friendly too!
The cabin was perfect for us. It was private, clean and had everything we needed. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t figure out how to get down to the beach to watch the sunrises and sunsets but that was okay as we had ample opportunity to see and explore the lake shore on our daily excursions. Definitely would stay here again.
I love this property. It has a beautiful setting and a cozy cabin feel. Everthing was clean and fresh except for the spider webs on the bathroom walls and some of the windows, also dust bunnies came out from under the sofa and beds when fan was turned on.......also wall clock needs a new battery. Other than these minor details in was a very pleasant stay.
What a perfect location for a cabin. Gorgeous sunrise, beautiful Lake Superior, privacy from crowds, couldn't ask for more. A fire pit would probably have been the perfect addition.
I found the cabin just as it was described. It was very clean , comfortable and adequate room. My daughter, and grandkids were out and about most of the time. The cabin was located conveniently to great hiking areas and beach access.
Great little cabin on the hill overlooking the lake. Fantastic accommodations!!
Just beware if you are a light sleeper, the ceiling does not connect between the bedrooms, so you will hear everything from the other rooms.
Great location to parks and hiking trails. Access to the lake greatly appreciated, since the cabin is not on the lake.
Very quaint, comfortable cabin. It was clean and had all the necessities. We went down to the lake and while down there, we met the owners. Very, very nice people. We come up to the North Shore at least once per year and will consider staying here again.
This is our second time at Superior Reflections and we were happy once again. The cabin was spacious, more than we needed for just the two of us. It was clean and well-kept. The location is great to access so many different parks and areas on the Shore. We did prefer the other cabins on this property which were closer to the water. It was so nice to unplug and relax and explore! Can’t wait for our next visit!
Great cabin, view of the lake and the rising moon when we were there. Great rocky beach just down the driveway. Nice little rock ring left by past guests for fires right on the beach. Beautiful wildflowers all around. Loved the grill and all the kitchen ware. Would have liked more comfortable beds for the price and could have done without the additional cost for insurance or a deposit, seemed unnecessary.
This is a lovely cabin with easy access to the lake. Well maintained, clean, and perfect for a weekend getaway. Only downfall is the wall between the bedrooms and living room do not go to the ceiling so if the person in the other room snores you might not get the rest you were hoping for. Speaking from experience. Other than that it was delightful.

From outside, it looks like the cabin is in need of a quick paint job but the inside is impeccable : clean, plenty of space and all the amenities for 2 persons, large kitchen, veranda with large windows, lots of power outlets for charging the electronics. The distributor of instant ice water and hot water was very appreciated. The TV has no antenna so bring your own DVD!
The stay wish about a week before fall colors really begin. That’s OK, color developing ……fantastic trails and beaches to visit and walk.
My favorites were walking down to the beach each morning between 630 and seven for photos or beach walking. Two other favorites were spending the morning at the billion year old lava flow. Walking/hiking exploring or sitting on the lava flow watching the water & sky. All are fantastic. My third favorite thing was doing the Oberg Mountain loop.
The entire area is fantastic. The power of mother nature is amazing.
