However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. "I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to each day a pleasant one ."
