"The car park was a secure gated area for hotel patrons only which I found to be a massive plus for York. As car parks in York, in my opinion, all seem to be hidden away and often some distance away from most of the accommodations as well as being quite expensive for overnight stays. The receptionists were cheerful, friendly and helpful, which after a two and a half hour drive was a very welcome sight. Our room, although not huge, was comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. The breakfast staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Our breakfast at the hotel was more than enough to see us through until lunch, and then we felt we only needed a light one. There is a buffet table with cereals, jams,fruit and bread/toast. The cooked breakfast was made to order with plenty of options. Overall we had great stay and cannot recommend the Minster Hotel highly enough. Phil &Ginny Nov. 7-10th "
