Disgusting and Unsafe Dump – Wyndham and Expedia Need to Investigate! I checked into the Days Inn in Scranton on October 16th at 5:00 PM, and it was easily the worst hotel experience of my life. The entire property was filthy, smelled awful, and felt unsafe due to vagrants frequenting the premises. My first room was next to a family who left a literal pile of trash out in the hallway. The walls were paper-thin, and I had to endure their nonstop screaming. On top of that, advertised amenities like a refrigerator and microwave were completely missing, and the TV channels would not change. I asked to be moved and was given a room on the 3rd floor all the way at the end of the hall. While I was grateful to escape the noise, this room was a nightmare of its own. It had a terrible, stale smell, a torn chair, and no overhead lighting despite there being a wall switch. The room phone was completely dead, and just like the first room, the TV channels would not change. Worse of all, the bathroom was completely unsanitary—I found multiple stranger's hairs in the shower (both long head hairs and short, curly body hairs). I tried my best to stick it out, but finding a cockroach running across the dresser solidified the need to leave immediately. I cut my stay short and checked out at 6:00 AM on October 17th to find other accommodations. The only saving grace was the front desk clerk, who was sharp, enthusiastic, and highly apologetic. Dirty, this was horrible. The floor in the room was filthy, PTAC unit gross, curtains didn’t close all the way. It was late or I would have walked out. There was duct tape on the edge of the elevator door, buttons were cracked, halls had the feel of an asylum. Room furniture stained and dirty, or ripped. TV stand still had openings where a fridge once was. Water stains on the ceiling. Bathroom sink faucet loose. Killed 3 bugs. Cant rate amenities, there were none. After the room, there is no way I would touch a beverage or food there. Breakfast appeared to be a counter in the lobby, with some chairs at another counter. No one at the desk after check in or this AM to share my experience with.

We literally checked in and checked out. Hall filled with smell of weed even though there are signs "no smoking", Halls were filthy and filled with garbage as well as leaves. When we drove around the back upon leaving we saw people doing drugs in the parking lot. The staff at the front desk was so nice and so understanding when we said that we were checking out.

We had a clean room and working tv, and staff was nice, however we noticed an odd stain on one of the beds. I also spotted a baby roach once in the evening and in the morning while in the bathroom. Lastly, I’m not sure the pictures of the gym we saw online were the same as in person because when we wanted to use the gym, it was the tightest area and in pretty poor shape, barely looked done. Also I was never told in advance that I could be charged a $30 fee for early checkin; I called them ahead of time and there was NO mention of it. I don’t like to give reviews like this, but people should be aware before spending their money anywhere.

The staff acc accommodated it myself in my party on the first floor since we both have ADA issues. However, there were so many screaming children on the first floor of that hotel was impossible to get any sleep. There was no refrigerator in the in the space where it would go as well as no microwave.The bathroom was left with much hair left on the floor as well as someone else’s toothpaste in the toilet. Pool was closed. Breakfast was minimal and the coffee machine broke with no effort for backup.

Front desk attendant was excellent and friendly. Had trouble with room key and he came right up. Now the room was disgusting,looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Big hair balls dusty bunnies,dead roach floating in toilet, no toilet paper except half role and carpet felt sticky. If we hadn't drove 14 hours we'd have left. Definitely steer clear of this one. Also there was drug dealers going on in parking lot,lots of people just hanging out being loud.

Pictures on the website do not look like actual hotel. Bedbugs and cockroaches! Management would not issue a refund. I stayed in the room for a total of 1 minute and they claimed because I used the room they can not give a full refund. I have called to get a full refund and the manager Loli hung up on me.

I only added one star because I had to in order to leave a review. This place was DISGUSTING! Smoky, dirty, run down. We killed a cockroach on the way into our room. Hairballs in the hallways. Opened the curtains and dirt fell down on us. Air conditioner was full of dirt, bathroom was dirty and falling apart. People were fighting and yelling in adjacent rooms. Fridge was missing. Carpet was gross. I didn’t remove my shoes and wouldn’t put any of my luggage on the floor. Pool was closed. Didn’t bother with breakfast - we were too turned off! Do not stay here. Expedia should remove it from their list

Rough looking characters roaming shirtless outside and total pigsty inside. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. We could not risk staying- it was frightening and dangerous looking. Please refund my money
