Beautiful secluded property on the water. The place was very clean and well furnished. Out first night there we saw dolphins swimming up the cove, jellyfish, crab, hooked something huge while fishing but lost it. This is the perfect place to stay to get away from the world and relax.
Very clean , very quiet location . Owner was great with communication and even has a notebook with places for gas, restaurants, grocery stores, and fishing supplies.
This was a lovely place to catch up on some relaxation! The property is beautiful and I love that it has it's own private boat ramp. My husband and I were able to take the boat out during our stay. We are definitely going to book this place again in the spring!
The Boathouse is immaculate and the views from the deck really nice. The location is peaceful and relaxing. The boat launch and dock is very convenient for fishermen. The host wanted to be sure our stay was the best. Easy to communicate with and very helpful. We had a great stay and hope to come again.
Thank you!
The boathouse is the perfect getaway, especially if you want to explore the water! If you have a boat, bring it! The deck is great for early morning coffee and/or cocktail hour. It is positioned perfectly for viewing the river. There is absolute privacy at the boathouse. Our host was very attentive and provided all the information we needed for check-in and check-out. The interior is very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need.
The property was just as described. It was very secluded which is just what we were looking for. It was nice to just be in our own little world for a few days. It is nothing fancy, but has everything you need to have a good time. Ralph was great as well with quick replies to any questions/comments that I had.
Excellent place away from the noise if you want to relax and enjoy a day of fishing it is the perfect place 100% recommended I hope I can have time and return in the summer.
This is our 2nd trip to the Boathouse and just like the first time it was fabulous!! Peace and quiet and surrounded by nature and deer and of course the fishing .
Planning my 3rd trip to go back now .
Be sure to take your groceries and snacks and enjoy your stay .

Great time staying here, very nice to be able to launch the boats
We loved staying here. The house is comfortable well stocked with dishes, cups, flatware/bowls etc. Once we got there we didn't leave until day of check out. Fished during the daylight hours both days and had a blast. Boat ramp is perfect for kayaks and my 19ft skiff. Caught lots of redfish, trout, crabs and a few flounder. Baitfish love to move around within yards of the dock and ramp. I would recommend this place to any serious fisherpeople, kayakers, or to just enjoy a quiet weekend.

Excellent Vacation
My husband and I travel alot and love the outdoors and finding the Boathouse was a great treasure . Mr Ralph is a excellent host, I had to call him twice and he knew exactly how to help me and I am thankful for his help .The Boathouse was very clean and just perfect for us. It had everything you need to cook and very comfortable and the bed was so cozy I slept all night of which is rare for me.We saw lots of wildlife , deer, birds, ducks. The fishing was fabulous and we caught a flounder, Croker, puppy drum and even a eel...uck..LOLThis find of the Boathouse was perfect and we cant wait to go back.
This property is for anyone who loves the outdoors, and especially likes fishing, crabbing, and boating. My husband and I were there for about a week. We brought our small boat and spent most of our days exploring the creeks, and in good weather, the sound. We boated over to Belhaven one day to explore. We caught crabs from the dock. We barely saw anyone the entire time. So quiet and relaxing. Ralph was very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend visiting if you can. It's perfect for couples.
Very clean and nicely appointed rental. It’s not big but more than adequate for a couple of people. Owner was very truthful about the remoteness of the property which we were prepared for.
Found it to be just as advertised. Cozy cabin, with very nice amenities. Beautiful sunsets from dock and fishing were also enjoyed by us. Host quickly responded when we had questions. We are ready to plan another visit soon.
