We both loved Arran. Weather was gorgeous and we did several lovely walks. Only downside was the WiFi in the property was very weak and there was no 3G signal

The little house at the back of Ellie's main house was lovely. Clean and cosy, with a comfortable modern upstairs bedroom with views across the bay towards Whiting Bay.
You can't see Holy Isle from the house, but you can from the end of the drive. It took us a beautiful 25 minute walk to get to the pier in Lamlash, along the quiet shore road and footpath.
Great for couples, we found it a little challenging to manage with a wee one (17 months) as the downstairs is quite small, with lots of furniture and a small open plan kitchen. Otherwise it was smashing and a great location to explore Lamlash and the island.

we had a great time here - fortunately, the weather was kind to us. We thought that the property was a little further away from the center of Lamlash than we expected -- but it this is run by nice people and the Isle of Arran speaks for itself

We have just returned from a weeks stay and can highly recommend this property, if you are looking for a peaceful setting which takes in wonderful views of Lamlash Bay then you will not be disappointed, it is a pleasent 25 minute walk along the shore to Lamlash village where there are a few tea rooms, shops and restaurants to choose from, and the view to Holy Island is stunning!
Arran has lots to offer, however if you want complete solitude then this is the place.

The property was comfortable, clean and a great base for exploring the Isle of Arran. Mrs Jones was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Red squirrels visited us each morning at breakfast time and seals were frequently to be seen basking on the rocks, virtually at the end of the drive. There was plenty to see and do, with some great walks. The Arran Distillery and Brodick Castle are particularly worth a visit. Lamlash itself has a number of nice places to eat, some with great views of Holy Isle.
Overall a location and a property worthy of a return visit.

The cottage was so quiet, so cosy, warm, comfortable, spotless and private .We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The sitting rooms lovely fabric settees ( not the cold slippery leather settees you come across in a lot of places) were ideal to relax in and the TV was a grand size. The kitchen had everything necessary for our stay in abundance i.e.crockery.cutlery,glassware and utensils. The views were fantastic from the cottage ( including the balcony bedroom)across the water and the local wildlife was very entertaining particularly when we had our breakfast as a young red squirrel couldn't help paying a visit. The local Public Houses are within easy walking distance - for us about 15 minutes- except it always took longer as we enjoyed the coastal walk, stopping to watch the seals and seabirds. Mr and Mrs Jones, the owners were very helpful and approachable if we needed any information. We had a lovely, lovely week and would not hesitate to stay there again when we visit Arran.

The house was lovely, and well equipt. The beds comfortable and linen good quality. We were tickled to have squirrels, pheasants and robins as regular visitors. The house is in a good location with lovely views.

Lovely place to stay. Great location, views and accommodation. The cottage was fantastic with all that you could need. Very warm and plenty of space to relax. We received a very warm welcome and would love to have stayed even longer than our 2 weeks. We look forward to staying again in the future.

We have stayed on arran a few times but this place is by far the best, lovely welcoming owners, clean and comfortable accomodation for 4 people (very comfortable beds) and fabulous outlook onto the sea overlooking holy island. A short stroll into lamlash village centre past seals and other wildlife !
Just gorgeous ! We will return !.

This must have been the fourth visit to the cottage and will certainly not be the last. The location is beautiful, facing the sea just across the road. Set in a peaceful location, very safe with helpful owners next door in case you need any info or advice. The cottage is clean and comfortable, an ideal size for four. It smells slightly of wood. Lovely! It has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. We always take the cushions from the bedrooms to put on the deep sofas. The two bedrooms are a good size with firm beds. The upstairs ensuite has just been completely re-done - bright and modern. Just outside in the narrow, quiet shore road there is the most pleasant walk beside the water where you can stroll to Brodick. Lamlash has good local amenities. I highly recommend this cottage because it's gorgeous and well positioned and you'll love Lamlash, I feel sure.
