My First Choice in Seascale

Superb location on sea front with plenty of parking behind hotel via very narrow alley. Stayed in Room 3 - stunning view over the beach / bay - comfortable 4 poster bed - plenty of power points - heating controlled via App - excelent wi-fi - limited choice of tv channels. Food - plenty of - excellent quality. Staff all very helpful & friendly. Gets full regularly so book early.

Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower

Lovely seaview

Lovely seaview and 4 poster bed. Room was lovely and warm on arrival. Plenty of parking. Check in and out was effortless and a good breakfast included.

nothing around, just average

No staff around as you enter the hotel, even rang the bell and nobody appeared. Just an envelope on the side with our name on, left to figure the rest out ourselves. Hotel is on the beach but other than that there’s absolutely nothing to do around the hotel at all, not even a pub to go for a drink. No food served in the hotel on certain nights. Wouldn’t stay here again.

A coastal haven

The hotel is good for work and there is a wide variety of food at the restaurant and good selection of beverages. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are ample.

The Mississippi and I came away for a Bank Holiday break and I found this hotel out of pure luck. I’m glad I did. The location was superb, staff were amazing and the breakfast was fantastic. We have nothing but great memories for our first visit to seascale.

Reasonably priced Seaside hotel

Staying at the Hotel for business reaskns. The Bailey Ground hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff helpful. Breakfast was good with the Evening meals (including specials board) giving a good range to meet many tastes. Would definitely stay there again. Think Hotel would also appeal to walkers and hikers.

The hotel has a great location - right on the beach. The breakfast was very good - plenty of food, a dining room with a sea view and friendly service. On a very wet and windy night, the room was warm and heating worked well! The free phone calls in the room were a GREAT idea - especially as mobile coverage on the Cumbrian coast is woefully inadequate. The room decor was very dated and mismatched and the facilities were lacking - no shampoo or soap; a macerator toilet ("don't throw anything down!") but no waste bin in bathroom; generally needed a makeover.
