"This property is at the far south end of the promenade. There is not an ocean view, but you are a very short walk to the beach. The cottage is really cute and comfortable except for the lumpy couch and relatively stiff mattress. It has everything you might need and is CLEAN (no shoes policy). It's all digital entry so no keys to worry about. I didn't realize it has a swimming pool and was surprised that it was open in April. "Great location! Room was a little outdated but clean. Walls are super thin and if you are on any lower floor you can hear everything going on so bring earplugs! Right on the beach and had many walkable shops and places to eat. Overall had a great time, just be prepared for a less quiet spot."

"We stayed at Inn at the Shore expecting something much nicer based on the photos and price, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. While the room appeared generally clean at first glance, the hotel felt very outdated overall. We may have been placed in a dog-friendly room, which could explain why there was no carpet. The furniture was old and worn, and the rooms looked nothing like the fresh, cozy atmosphere shown in the pictures. As a family traveling with a 1-year-old and 3-year-old, cleanliness in every corner really matters to us. My baby was crawling all over the floor, behind doors, and along the baseboards, and I kept finding heavy dust buildup along the baseboards. It made me uncomfortable the entire stay. The location and beach access are definitely nice, but for the price we paid, we expected a much more updated and better-maintained room. We are currently staying at a newer hotel in Newport that costs significantly less and feels far cleaner and more modern. Overall, this hotel felt overpriced for the quality and condition of the rooms."

"We love staying at this property and have stayed here for the last 4-5 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located near the beach and the shopping. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of great options! The rooms are always clean and mostly comfortable. My only complaint on the beds is the couch pull-out. The pad/mattress on it is very thin and it's really uncomfortable. We had to go buy a pad at the store to make it easier to sleep on. They also forgot to stock the toilet paper and towels this time, so we had to go ask for more. Other than that, the view of the river and town is lovely and the amount of space you get in the rooms with the separate living area is great for a bigger family. The kids really like having a TV of their own to watch, while we have one in the bed area :) We had a wonderful stay again this year and will definitely be coming back!"
