"The front desk staff is not very friendly at this hotel. We had a leak in our sink the first night of check-in and they did not even offer to change our room. I had to request the change and they did not even apologize for the inconvenience. The hotel needs a make over, everything felt old and dirtly."

The hotel said that there wasn’t enough room for another bed. There was no hand soap in the bathroom or hand towels. The location was awesome. "The hotel St James is our go to when in Manhattan. Convenient, good value, wonderful staff. The only thing on this trip was that the mattress was quite uncomfortable. We will still stay here again though as we’ve never had this issue before. "
