"I've stayed at this particular hotel many times in the past, the last time we went, which was probably more than a year ago, there was a kind of cranky guy work you the front desk and he snapped at us and told us that the pool was down and it would not be back during our stay. So we ended up leaving and going to another hotel, but I decided to try them again and I was happy that I did. I didn't catch the lady there. Was at the front desk when we arrived?But it was crazy that she had remembered...

"The young woman who checked us in…and checked us out the next day… was wonderful. She was welcoming and efficient. She even got good directions for one of us the next morning. I hope she is appreciated by management. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name. She was a delight. Service was wonderful, too. Extra towels and a blanket were delivered within 15 minutes of our request. Much later that evening we received very prompt service for the TV. I was not expecting such prompt service at that hour since the hotel was full. I would definitely recommend The Chateau to anyone visiting Bloomington/Normal. "
