"Odd sort of a place - completely deserted by 9pm each of the four nights we were there. Reception was supposed to be open until 9pm but when we returned with keys to the hotel bikes (€9 a day) at 8.45, it seemed long since deserted. "Excellent hotel with comfortable bed and plentiful breakfast. I did not use the balcony due to the weather. Guests have use of the sauna and swimming pool at the nearby VNU Hotel (at the top of the hill) for EUR15. This under repair on the first night but I did use it on the 2nd night, they do ask you to wear flip flops or other bathing shoes. The hotel is handy for the REWE supermarket and shops. "Excellent hotel with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. The location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and local attractions. Check-in was quick, and the facilities were well maintained."

"Great hotel, fantastic views, excellent spa facilities. Room excellent - spacious with cooking facilities in the private hall rather than the bedroom itself so you do not need to sleep with stale cooking smells. Very well equipped, though in summer the lack of air con may be a factor. Only downside was the pillows (though that and the lack of air con seems to be a common problem in hotels in Germany)."
