"A beautiful place. We had just spent 6 nights in a rustic cabin and arriving at this beautiful place was such a pleasure. The hot tub was not in use and I was looking forward to it after a week of fishing in cold weather, but the claw foot tub in the room made up for it. The tub made showering for my 70 yr old husband a bit of a challenge but we made it work. The restaurant staff, drinks and food were phenomenal. Weird policy of only allowing us to buy one bottle of liquor each when we left, had us baffled considering it is a distillery and hotel."

"We had three adults stay here over an extended weekend and it was wonderful. Exactly the right size for the three of us. Very nice modern interior. Alissa provides a very complete guidebook with all of the information you'll need right up front, and she was very prompt with questions I had. Overall a fantastic experience and a good value too."

"The lakeside cottage was the perfect location for us to relax and enjoy the beauty of Northern Minnesota at the end of almost two weeks of travel around the state. This is a comfortable and clean place to stay with a huge picture window looking out at Rainy Lake and access to a dock, kayaks and Steve even offered to give us a boat tour! We had unfortunately already booked non-refundable activities so were unable to take him up on it. He was very helpful and informative about things to do in the area. We very much enjoyed the fire circle and the kitchen was well-stocked for our needs. This was close to Voyageurs National Park and there were a couple good restaurants fairly close, too. We very much enjoyed our stay!"

"We had a GREAT stay! What a lovely property on the lake! Enos island is home to a family of bald eagles so we enjoyed watching them from the deck. And a lovely view of the Big Dipper each evening!We were two couples and it was nice to have our own spaces on opposite sides of the living area. The beds are SUPER comfortable - my Fitbit says that’s the best I’ve slept in months! The furniture is so nice - comfy seats for everyone for watching sports or movie night. The kitchen is well-equipped including an electric skillet and air popper. We rented a pontoon boat from Voyageurs Outfitters at Thunderbird Lodge and explored a lot of Rainy Lake! Highly recommend getting out on the water!! Check out Cantilever Distillery and Loony’s Pub in Ranier for food and beverages. This is a wonderful, relaxing property! Highly recommend!!"

"This is really an incredible place. The home is beautiful and extremely well appointed. We travelled with kids (ages 4-9) and the space was perfect: board games, outdoor exploring, fishing, near the water. We had a lovely week and hope to return next year. Thanks for having us!"
