  • ONE OF THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED SCENES IN SELDOVIA
    This is one of the most photographed scenes in Seldovia, the first glimpse of town from the bridge when arriving from the airstrip. The home is built on pilings over the slough, a tidal estuary of Seldovia Bay.

    This charming 2nd story timber frame suite is located over Thyme on the Boardwalk. It features a small deck overlooking the tidal slough off Seldovia Bay. This 377 sq ft suite includes a kitchen sitting room with a sofa and table, bathroom with a walk-in shower, high ceilings bedroom, and a small loft sleeping over the kitchen. The carpeted loft with a full-size air mattress is accessible by a fireman type ladder, not suitable for young children under 5 or adults that are not agile.

    From the small deck, enjoy the energy of the daily tides and the many varieties of birds, including eagles with scenic mountains in the background. You can fish for salmon from the beach below the deck in June, watch the 5K salmon shuffle run down the boardwalk the morning of July 4th, sea otters playing in the slough below the house, and admire the perennial garden park just outside the door.

A sweet corner of Paradise!

Our host Suzie welcomed us in to this beautiful town with friendly people. The suite is amazing - artistic and very comfortable too. Family of Eagles living in the trees right across the water in full view of the balcony , Perfect!

We had a wonderful time! Location is perfect, house is over the water with incredible views. Owner is accommodating, friendly, available to provide assistance, directions, recommendations, etc... House was clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!

Great lake-side rental

Overall, very nice. We used it as a base to explore Wrangle and Denali. Loons supplied a wonderful song to go to sleep; unfortunately, someone was proving their manhood by racing up and down the nearby highway.
