This was a fantastic place to stay in Iceland! The place was very clean and the staff was super nice. Good breakfast options as well. Would highly recommend staying here and I would come again.
I think the Borealis Hotel is a gem. It has a very nice sitting area in the main house; the restaurant was good, and the room we had was clean and comfortable. The staff was good and the service excellent. I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel had a bar.
I highly recommend this hotel.

This location was extremely quiet, unique and has a pretty scenery. The included breakfast was AMAZING!! They did an absolutely fantastic job with the food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
Great double cabin. Spacious and warm. Comfortable beds. Very nice dinner at a reasonable price. Lovely gentlemen on reception who were very helpful and friendly. Good continental breakfast.
The hotel is simple, but efficient at what it is providing: a clean, hospitable place to crash for the night. The staff were more than accommodating, and we particularly enjoyed seeing the family-style way the business was run, where the staff were taking care of many things and were personable and friendly. The location is stellar for people with a car to get to many popular sights in Iceland. We enjoyed our stay, and would come back!
Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival.
Location of the hotel is excellent, in the heart of Golden Circle so all interesting places are close and to be reached easily by car.
Breakfast very good.
There is also a hot tub but we did not try it.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Close to Pingvellir NP, cute lodge-looking hotel with large rooms ( compared to other similar priced rooms in Iceland). Delicious Large buffet breakfast ( continental breakfast means no hot items, but still many fresh items to choose from). Small hot tub outside. And we saw the Northern Lights!
We stayed for a night and it was pleasant. Nice staff and allowed early checkin. Breakfast was good. Our only concern was the shower in the washroom. Drainage was slow and you literally stand in a pool of water while taking the shower. I think it should not be a big concern if you want to stay at this beautiful place.๐

Disliked: Amenities
Cozy hotel but very basic. No TV, black out curtains, wash cloths, bar soap, conditioner, kleenex (just little things I like to see in my room). Had to search for front desk help as he was also the waiter. Checked out day early.
The hotel did not match the photos posted on the internet. The Superiorzimmer so small that one could hardly move. The same goes for the bathroom. It is absolutely impossible for dogs to run around in the dining room.
The property itself was great but I was double charged by the property and Expedia. Expedia is saying that it was a fraudulent charge not by the hotel but how is that possible when I paid at the hotel lobby and received a receipt from the business? Unfortunately, neither Expedia or the property feel that they need to refund the double charge of 525$ and I had to contact visa to get my money back. Property is nice, but double check your bank statements after your stay here or you might be charged 1000$ dollars for a two night stay.
