I was surprised to see the city seems run down. Lots of boarded up buildings and a abandoned houses.

The manageress of The Old Depot museum was friendly and informative and gave good advice on places to see on route to Montgomery.
Pretty nice little town. Didn’t go there for touring. Visiting our child at school 30 miles away. Just used it for sleeping
Selma has anything you want to dine out, no where to really hang out.
I was born there grew up there move away and it need to have more sit down restaurants and more hostels . It’s has one of each fast food restaurants not good need more of them because everything is on hwy 80 nothings down town
I live near by so like every city it has its horror stories but the area the hotel was in was very nice and near the hospital . My husband was have outpatient surgery.
