Clean comfortable tiny room that met my needs at an affordable price. Nice amenity is free access to the second floor onsen baths. APA hotels do not pretend to be anything else than what they are, a well run highly efficiency focused hotel chain that will save you some money and provide good, albeit minuscule, accomodations with convenient, safe and very clean buildings.

The room was dark and quiet at night and the air conditioning meant I could cool the room down when needed, helpful during the unexpected heatwave. Staff were always helpful when I had any questions or requests. Having a convience store next to the hotel was great and only a 15 minute walk from the major train station.

Customer Service was invaluable. We had left some items here, and the APA Sendai staff communicated with our next hotel to facilitate their return. They shipped the lost items to our next stay at the APA Ryogoku.

The rooms were so clean and the Onsens both indoor and outdoor were magnificent! For western travelers, the rooms sizes are rather small but so efficiently organized.

Could be better

Great stay as usual for APA. Family mart is connected to the hotel in the lobby. Odd part is if you enter into lobby by family mart you will need a key card when you can walk around without a keycard. Kind of pointless. There seems to be mold buildup in the public baths on the ceiling near the windows.

Room is just too small, bath room just too small. Staffs are trying to be nice but almost no experience. It is all right for one night stay. It does not fit to my needs.
