Room was clean, staff were courteous.
The oceanview room is a little bonus that anyone deserves: it's got a great view on the marina, wonderfull sunset. I like the location as well: close to restaurants, pubs, boardwalk.
The place is excellent especiallly when you have tried the competition locally. The rooms are super clean, well equipped and quiet. The hotel is close to delicious food outlets, the harbour and a micro brasserie. Well recommended
Really liked the location. Great people working there. And amazing room with seaview. I would had only liked for them to clean all days the rooms without waiting for us to ask them. Besides that it was really good. Breakfast is mid, but still good.
Terrific location on the St.Lawrence river. The area is good, from the exterior, this hotel is terrific. Inside the rooms though, need some small repairs that are not done. I stay at this hotel 2-3 times per year, esch roim I have stayed in need some repairs. Nothing to put you in danger, but there are broken stuff.

We rented a comfort room with king bed and kitchenette. The room sports old grey carpets that make it sad looking. The kitchen is functional, but the wall would need a good paintcoat. the room has 2 small balconies, one with a working screen, but no chairs, and no real view to talk about. On the plus side, there is a large renovated bathroom with great shower. Great location on waterfront, easy parking, but expensive for what you get.
The Chateau is a beautiful hotel, with beautiful decor, situated right on the water along the boardwalk. There are plenty of restaurants nearby with varying menus and prices. The room was huge and very clean, and very quiet. All staff - reception and housekeeping - were kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
We did have one issue with the lack of safety features in the bathtub. My 84-year old husband needed a safety bar to hold onto while taking his shower, but there was no bar or non-slip mat.
It would have been very useful to have an information sheet with instructions on how to use the phone. We couldn’t even figure out how to call down to reception.
It might be helpful to know that this hotel has an opt-in room cleaning system, you have to let the front desk know how often you want your room cleaned, e.g. everyday, every other day, etc.
Overall we did enjoy our stay here and would definitely come stay at the Chateau again when we return to Sept-Isles.
The breakfast needs improvement; there aren't many options, and the eggs and bacon don't taste very good. The service at reception, and the staff in general, are very friendly and always willing to help
Decently clean room but could have been cleaner. It was also loud during the night from other guests however, one of the more clean places to stay in Sept-Iles.
