"The location was perfect and the dorms have adequate locker/storage space. The hostel itself? It was mediocre at best. The dorm room was nice, but filled with unruly people (it was the holidays - not really the hostel’s fault). The bathrooms need some extra attention with regards to cleaning and repairs. The shower heads are in desperate need of replacing. Every single one on the 1st floor is either broken or has mold around it. Staff seemed inconvenienced by questions. Overall, it was an ok...

"Very small for two guest so i had to book myself into another hotel at addition cost. Room booked stated i would have a window with city view,, all i saw was large chunks of concrete from building work.right outside the window I paid for a room to view the city. They should not have charged for this. Generally clean. Although i didnt stay there they had a fridge, a safe and clothes washing facilities. Good internet connection. 24 hr reception service. Had to ask for toilet paper and towel....

"Amethyst is my all-time favorite hostel. It was my first time hostel hoping, and I wasn't sure if I would make friends. Enter Saiful. He invited me to dinner where I got to know other travelers, who I ended up spending the rest of my time in KL with, visiting everything from the Batu Caves to the Putrajaya Pink Mosque. "I am so impressed with the level of service that was provided at this magnificent hotel im a fan anytime im in KL I will only be staying at the mandarin to me service is what matters when coming to a hotel and they go above and beyond much more impressed then the four seasons KL for the value it is unmatched special shout out to Ramesh every time I went to the pool he was there with the biggest smile on his face happy to help me with any of my needs in my opinion he should be recognized by the hotel he truly understands the art of service and hospitality thank you Mandarin Oriental KL for the amazing stay this was one to remember "
