About this property
1 Block from the Bay!
2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 5 to 6
Also known as Captain's Quarters. Conveniently located halfway between the Seward small boat harbor and Seward´s historic downtown. Both are within a short walking distance along a coastal trail that is just one block from the front door. The trail is part of the original Iditarod Trail. Very clean and private with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, wifi, DirectTV/DVD, Washer and Dryer and a BBQ. this unit also has a futon style couch that folds flat and could sleep one to two more people. Bringing the total to 6 people. Adjacent to our other vacation rental unit (VRBO Listing #738304). This is great for someone who is wanting to have a rental for 8 to 10 people, as the two units are side by side. Owned and operated by a 4´th generation Seward, Alaskan.

Beautiful views and one block from the inlet. Enjoyed a walk around the area was very peaceful and safe. When I am back in Seward I will definitely stay here again…

We loved the inside. It’s very clean and updated. The beds were comfy
We enjoyed our night at this property. The location was perfect for whatever a guest would choose to do in Seward. We centered our visit around a cruise of Kenai Fjords and we could reach the small boat harbor quickly. Consider this property for your visit to Seward!
Nice property, close to town, shopping, harbor. Clean, nice, good amenities. Great communication with owner with the one small issue we had. Recommend highly!
Please don't judge a book by its cover! The area and outside is a little weathered, but the inside was clean and the amenities were top of the line. It was a perfect location to the marina for early morning fishing trips
Nice cozy place and clean. Seward is not a big town so this home is placed perfectly between the docks and downtown.
The bedrooms are tight but we weren’t in Alaska to hang out in a house.
My room had a window that opened and it was a cool breeze and very quiet. We had a sweet reunion with family. We were so happy and grateful to be here in beautiful surroundings and to be close to the beach was superb! Thank you!!
Tim and Bri have a beautiful home nestled in Seward, and within walking distance to everywhere. My son had his wedding at Miller’s Landing and this was a quick 10 minute drive to the location.
Clean and comfortable with all the amenities.
I don’t wanna say the wrong thing about this property. Everything was clean, and it was very close to everything you could want in Seward.
The location left a lot to be desired. It is close to the water, but is more than less ideal. You look out of the picture window, at a less than desirable property within about 30 feet.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
1 block from the bay
Good:
Communication with the property manager was great. He even allowed us to add one extra person to the reservation after we booked. He was amazing by allowing us to check in as soon as we got off the train which was so incredibly helpful. We received the code at an appropriate time before check in. It is 1 block from the bay and approximately 2 blocks from the cities free shuttle. People in the neighborhood seemed very nice and even offered us a ride when they saw us pulling our luggage.
Bad:
It was pouring down rain and we had to trek our luggage 2 blocks from the free shuttle, up hill. 3 of us are younger and it wasn't such and issue, but we had our mothers with us so that made things more challenging. The trailer was a bit run down but to be honest we were in a small Alaskan town so its different than a big city. The cleaning left a bit to be desired. There was a huge cobweb in the main bedroom, a dirty hand towel on the bathroom sink that I'm assuming the cleaning crew just forgot and the front bedroom and bathroom windows were left wide open so one of the beds had a huge wet spot from the rain pouring in. The neighbors wake early and are very chatty so since we shared a wall, we too were up early.
This was a very nice place to stay for our stop over in Seward after our cruise. Originally we booked it bc it was a block from the Bay and we thought we could walk to the property from the cruise terminal. It is about a mile down so walking with our luggage would not have been practical. We ended up renting a car so this was not an issue for us. We also liked that it had a washer and dryer in the unit (it was raining quite hard when we disembarked and our luggage got soaked as well as some clothing inside so the dryer came in handy)! Beds were quite comfy as well. Be aware that the door to the 2nd bedroom is quite difficult to open/close as it seems the carpet underneath is too high or the door is too low. But other than that it’s a very nice place to stay for a night or 2 passing through Seward.
A great little place within walking distance to basically everything Seward has to offer downtown. There is only heat in the living area so if you tend to get cold and are visiting during the shoulder/colder seasons, it’s something to consider. The place was clean and having laundry was a really great bonus! Thanks for hosting us!
What a wonderful evening to spent enjoying the Reservation Bay view with the binoculars to look for wildlife! The mountains were alive in the apenglow of the evening sun. We even saw seals from the balcony! Perfect space for a grandmother and two grandchildren. They loved it as much as I did and for teenagers to say that, you know it's a good place to stay! Close to the bay to explore, close to restaurants, close to events to go and see. What more could you ask for!
