"Hmm. This is a very good property and would be excellent anywhere else in the world but standards in Greece/Crete are very high. It's a little gloomier inside photos suggest with only limited natural light. There is construction work going on literally adjacent to the property currently so expect some noise and essentially the outdoor balcony space is off-limits during the daytime. "Amazing stay at the resort! The pool and beach were both amazing, very comfortable sunbeds and very clean. Service was slightly lacking at the pool and restaurant and the prices for drinks by the pool were quite high. The buffet dinner was excellent, and the breakfast was good as well. The room was lovely and very clean. Overall, we would recommend as a resort but we would choose to stay closer to Old Town on our next visit."

"A fabulous resort in Crete, positioned on a beautiful bay west of Chania. Three fabulous pools are complemented by a peaceful beach perfect for a dip. Our room was beautifully presented with a large balcony which got the sun all afternoon. The staff were friendly and always helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was the buffet of dreams, we always ate early and there was always lots to choose from."

"We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Galini Palace Resort Hotel. The overall atmosphere was calm and peaceful throughout, as the hotel is located in a quiet area away from the main tourist crowds. The Highlights: The absolute star of the hotel is the pool area - it is large, beautiful, crystal clear, and offers great view of the sea. The staff were also extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The food variety in the dining room was impressive, and while not every dish was to our personal taste, we always found plenty to enjoy. Areas for Improvement: There were a few minor issues that kept this from being a true 5-star experience: Pool Hours: The pool hours are quite limited (10:30 AM – 6:30 PM). We felt it would be much better if it opened earlier and stayed open later in the evening, especially during the long summer days. Room Amenities: For a 5-star hotel, we expected more luxury touches. For example there were no bathrobes, and it was disappointing to be charged an extra daily fee to use the room safe. Maintenance & Cleanliness: The showerhead in our room was completely clogged. Also, there was a strange, strong smell of cleaning products in the hallway outside our room, which wasn't very pleasant. Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting. With a little more attention to the small details and operating hours, it would be perfect."
