I asked the staff to check-in at 12:00 in advance and they accepted it. However they could not do that and the explanation about that was not enough. The room had a nice river view. Though the room was so noisy because of the next room's family chatting.

Opulent property in a great location. Room has some dated items (fax machine, printer) but overall lovely. Staff was exceptional. Concierge Danny was a gem helping us to secure tickets to Disney and was so patient working through challenges. Spa staff and spa experience was top tier. Great experience!

Our stay at The Peninsula Shanghai was truly outstanding. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better — right on The Bund, with easy access to the city’s main attractions and incredible skyline views. The room was enormous, elegant, and exceptionally comfortable, perfectly blending classic style with modern luxury. Every detail — from the bedding to the technology — was thoughtfully designed to make our stay effortless and relaxing. The facilities throughout the hotel are superb, from the lobby to the spa and restaurants, maintaining the high standards you’d expect from The Peninsula brand. But what made our experience truly memorable was the outstanding service from Leo at the Concierge desk. He went above and beyond to assist us whenever we needed help, with genuine kindness and professionalism. Leo’s attention and care made a real difference and reflected the warm, personalized hospitality that defines The Peninsula.
