We really enjoyed this house and location. Amazing sunsets and unbelievable views. It was great for our family of 4 but would be good for larger families as well. Great place to relax.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations waiting for our four-generation family that gathered to celebrate Christmas together--how thoughtful of our host! This home is clean, comfortable and has a beautiful view.
Waking up to the breath-taking view of Black Sands Beach and the Pacific Ocean was worth it’s weight in gold. The kitchen had everything we needed with beautiful new appliances. Very comfy beds. We loved sitting outside in the Adirondack chairs and just taking in the ocean breezes.
Lovely house with absolutely beautiful ocean views! It was foggy when we arrived at night and early in the morning but it cleared by late morning; even in the fog it’s very atmospheric and nice to hear the waves. The house is spacious and well-equipped—the kitchen is great for cooking a group meal. An easy walk down to Black Sands Beach and short drive to Shelter Cove. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks!
The views, the fresh flowers, the location, the response from Paulina, all top notch.
They will need to do some upgrades to the building but all their neighbors will need the same; this is the pacific north coast. For us (three adult couples) it was perfect. Lovely layout, a night around the grill and chiminea as the stars came out, three separate sleeping areas (one bedroom is connected to a loft with two singles so be aware), and a laundry! For us LCT hikers it was great.
Highly recommended.
We visited for the redwoods but this home has such an incredible view and the town has fabulous hiking and beaches you could stay there the entire time and never leave, it sets on a cliff with a view below of waves crashing on the rocks and a black sands/pebbles beach, the little town has groceries and restaurants but you may like to check the opening times, the road leading to shelter cove is twisty and winding up and down a mountain quite a distance and it is quite remote, if you just want to get away from it all this is the place, the home is clean and nicely decorated, we had a fabulous time
It really was something. <3 The Lost Coast is a befitting name for the location. The owners have it down. Comfortable, clean and clear directions for the house and surrounding area. While we misjudged the ride in and shld have allowed more time and earlier in the day, the destination more than made up for it. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
