This 10+ acre property is located at the base of the Tobacco Root mountains (very close to Forest Service Access) This property is home to moose, whitetail deer, geese, ducks, turkeys and Sandhill cranes. Stay home and fish on the 1/4 mile creek frontage or the 1/3 acre private spring fed pond, or drive a short distance to World Class fishing on the Ruby, BigHole, Beaverhead, or Madison rivers! Historic Virginia & Nevada City close by, Yellowstone two hours away! It is just 1.8 miles from the center of Sheridan, MT. This two bedroom, one bath 1400 square ft apartment is very private with a nice patio opening onto a huge yard and down to the pond. The space is beautifully appointed and furnished down to the last detail. Enjoy dining on the covered patio looking out at the pond! After dinner stroll along Mill Creek and watch for wildlife. Very private and peaceful setting! Parking area is large enough to accomodate a trailer or boat if needed.

Clean, decorated and furnished perfectly and perfect size for the 4 of us; large yard to play soccer and toss the football; tetherball, large private pond with brook trout and baby geese that flows into a stream that flows into a roaring creek; Big Sky View; covered patio; backroads great for dirt biking; fire pit; close to town and 20 minutes from Virginia City. Annual Montana Fishing weekend

We have stayed at this property for 5 seasons. It is always perfect in every way It is a perfect setting for us as it is central to our favorite fishing rivers. We plan to return almost as soon as we leave.

A Very Special Place

What an amazing place to stay. Very clean and has everything you need, from a well appointed kitchen to games and puzzles. The property is amazing with access to Mill Creek and a private pond with great brook trout. The hosts were wonderful and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you!

A Little Slice Of Heaven

Familys first trip to Montana, and the view was exactly what I expected. The brooke trout in the pond was an added bonus. Couldn't have asked for a more clean & comfortable home away from home.

Vacation with teenage son

Thanks so much for your hospitality. This truly is a "Very Special Place". My son and I did some fishing and driving in the mountains. We also relaxed and hung out at the very relaxing rental. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return.

Great place with a pond and a stream

The house is very clean and neat (it's the lower level), with everything we needed. There's fish in the pond (they wouldn't take our bait but we saw them jumping out of the water every evening), there's a beautiful stream, and there's ample space outside for kids to run. The Lewis & Clark caverns are 1 hour away, and there are beautiful mountain roads all around. Would love to come again!

Wonderful week in Montana

Linda and Dave's place was wonderful. We escaped Houston's brutal August heat and we thrilled with the cool mornings and evenings. Sally did her morning yoga stretches by the pond while I fished for brook trout there. There were plenty of fun options, fishing, rafting, hiking in the region. 5 stars all around.

Off the beaten path.

Nice property, relaxing and fishing is great for kids. Owners are on property so privacy is lacking but they are very good about allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Anniversary getaway

My husband and I enjoyed staying in this vacation home when we got away for our anniversary. The setting is beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was easy to cook in, and the living room a nice place to hang out. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The property and location were as described. This rental is in the walk-out basement of the owner's home, but it was very quiet and we had privacy. We love eating at The Old Hotel in Twin Bridges when staying in this area of Montana, and enjoy hiking at Branham Lake (you need a vehicle with high clearance to drive to the lake/trailhead).

Beautiful place, well worth the money

There is not much in Sheridan, but Linda's place is so relaxing you may just want to stay there. The basement apartment is quite spacious and nicely appointed. The kitchen is quite well equipped. She even had spare toothbrushes in the bathroom. Bring your own condiments and coffee. The spot is fantastic. There were four fauns literally frolicking on the property while we were there. Two very handsome ducks inhabit the trout pond. Overall, one of the very best VRBO experiences I have had.

Beautiful Apartment in the lower half of a home

This two-bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated and sits on a pretty, large yard with a pond. Our only comment is that we did not realize that our hosts lived above the property. If you are up and out by 7:30, you will most likely not be aware of noise upstairs. You may be sharing the lawn and pond with their grandchildren. Our hosts were very responsive to all communication.

A wonderful country get away ~ we'll be back!

Fabulous!!! What a wonderful, hidden treasure you have in your rental. We were there in early August 2013, right at the peak of the Perseid meteor shower; couldn’t have been in a better place. Sitting in an adirondack chair out on the lawn watching the ‘big Montana Sky’ what a treat! The accommodations were everything we expected from your description and more! The rooms were very nice, clean and set up perfect. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom were all so nice and home like. We felt like we were at home, very peaceful place. We so enjoyed sitting outside on the patio having breakfast and bird watching out by your pond, not to mention your horse that was at the fence every morning, a true country get away! So much to do in the area, from fly fishing (I recommend the Stonefly Inn http://thestoneflyinn.com/) to the museum in Dillon, Lewis and Clark Caverns (http://stateparks.mt.gov/lewis-and-clark-caverns/) and dinner or brunch at The Old Hotel (http://www.theoldhotel.com/) you’ll certainly be entertained. With family in the area, this will ALWAYS be our lodging choice!! Can’t wait to visit Dave and Linda again, see you soon! Recommended for: Families, empty nesters, people who love the outdoors and quiet.

Idyllic Montana vacation rental

I always dreamed about coming to Montana. We had just come from Yellowstone national park and were on our way to glacier. We stopped here for a few nights to recharge for the next phase of our trip. Linda and Dave were great and upon arrival we were welcomed with a basket of fresh baked rolls. We ate the rolls with some chili beans that we made in their great kitchen. The decorating finishes in the space are done very well and the apartment is very spacious. It made me feel like We were at a high end luxury lodge. The grounds are absolutely immaculate. We fished in the private lake and grilled steaks on the porch outside. Dave suggested going to a Mountain lake about 12 miles up from the apartment and it was a great suggestion because we did see a pack of moose. Now the place is a little out of the way of the main tourist route but that is the whole beauty you can totally detach. If you used to the big city this is the total opposite,the town doesn't even have a stoplight but the mountain views and scenery are fantastic. I would highly recommend this apartment for your Montana stay. I think it offers exceptional value. The stay here was probably one of the favorite parts of our trip.

We had an awsome time. My 4 sons and i pick a location each summer to meet and fly fish . This place was perfect location to several rivers and the accomodations were perfect as well. Had everything we needed along with a quiet relaxing home in the evening
