I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Lerwick than the Fort Charlotte Guest House. The place is a gem, a mere steps from the heart of Lerwick. The rooms are clean, quiet and cozy. The staff is hospitable and full of helpful ideas and advice. Ryan’s email communication during and in advance of our stay was exceptional, both timely and informative. Not the fanciest hotel BUT great location and the room was large, clean, comfortable and priced right! Couldn’t ask for more. Parking easy. Dinner was great. Breakfast was wonderful - what a way to start the day exploring Shetland. Ate one night at Frankie’s fish seafood - it was great. Make sure to make reservation if you want to eat at restaurant otherwise it will be take a way. Staff at hotel were great. I would stay here again.
