Lovely big room and excellent value for money. We have paid twice as much for half as nice in other places. Very pleasant staff and everything is very clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed. My husband enjoyed the large 20m swimming pool. We had a great stay and would be happy to return

Grounds and building are beautiful, staff are helpful. Unfortunately the bed and pillows are horrendous. Stayed 2 nights and hardly slept both nights. I also mentioned this to the reception staff and said I would of been more comfortable sleeping on the floor and she apologised. The whole point of staying somewhere is to sleep so really all the other facilities are pretty pointless if you can’t get the main part correct. Rooms weren’t particularly clean and the bath must of been siliconed a thousand times. Time to invest in the rooms.

Hotel was bad experience when we arrived there was no room. I had to look at four rooms as we booked a twin room. There was no twin rooms available. They always had double beds. We went as two friends so we did not want to share a double bed breakfast was okay, not great. I’m a vegetarian and there wasn’t anything much to eat other than cereal and toast.

Hollins Hall is a beautiful property and we have stayed there a few times in the past. The grounds are well maintained and the hotel offers a bar and restaurant. Our room was clean, but basic and with the usual tea and coffee options. There was no bottled water provided, which would have been appreciated, and no refrigerator. I thought the bathroom amenities were somewhat lacking compared to other hotels, but we managed with what was there. We checked out early in the morning, so I can't comment on breakfast. We did not used any of the on site facilities because we were in the area for a funeral. Hollins Hall is special in it's secluded location, and I would recommend choosing a room that has all the options you require for your stay.

It is a beautiful property surrounded by a nice golf course. The room was a good size with a pleasant bathroom with a bath. The room itself smelt a bit damp. It was a dog friendly room so that may have been the lingering smell. The beds were nice with firm mattresses. The staff were helpful.

Bed was absolutely awful! Woke up with back spasms and sciatica. Breakfast was poor cheap as cheap produce and machine coffee. Pool, steam, sauna were ok and gym was well equipped. Bed ruined me for the next four days and I don’t usually have muscle and bone issues.

The sauna swimming pool was a bonus. Breakfast not worth the price if this is not included with your booking. We had a feast outside for breakfast and half the price too. Room don’t get cleaned unless >3 night stay unless special requests made, so don’t expect to come back to a fresh room everyday. Overall pleasant stay.

Although the room was clean, the decor needs updating as it is starting to look tired. the window catch was broken at the frame, but it was warm overnight so not a problem to me, but maybe an issue in the colder weather. The bathroom was clean, but there is mould staining in the tile grout. we had to wait over 5 minutes to be seated for breakfast on the Friday. if the person who does the "meet and greet" is over worked, then a second person should also be available. At exactly 23:00 the Grill bar closed with the shutters sealing the area. A great location and facilities whether you want to play golf or explore the surroundings, only it needs money spending to refresh the hotel

A very impressive site as you drive in from the entrance. A well presented stately hotel doubling as a Golf bar and restaurant which makes perfect sense. It appeared to be reasonably well supported and obviously a very popular wedding venue too. Only had a couple of nights here and didn't use the restaurant as we were being hosted by friends who had recommended the place. Somewhat aged and a little tired butt well presented and great staff to assist. Would definitely go back there.

Stayed with my 2 dogs. Had a ground floor room not far from the lobby which made for easy access. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Price was very competitive but disappointed with the extra money charged for each dog. I realise that some owners are not very responsible but charging for each dog seems excessive.

Staff and room were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Comfortable bed. There's some design flaws, for example you can't fill the kettle up at the sink without the water coming out as you try to extract it. Nothing major though. It's not that pet friendly. It would have been nice to have a drink in the bar but that would have meant leaving the dog in the car so we went somewhere else for a drink.

free classes were really good, amazing pool, but make sure you book dinner in advance....we didn't and restaurant was fully booked but they managed to get us a table at 8.30pm. Suggested walks from the hotel would be useful too.

As an American, I can say that cleanliness was not up to par with American hotels. Parts of it were trying to be upscale, for example the spa was amazing. However the rooms flush barely worked, and the bathtub was strange and we struggled to figure out how to drain it. Parts of it were not super clean. The gym machines were sticky. The landscaping and decor throughout different parts of the hotel were beautiful . There were also spiders all over the room
